About

Hi, I’m Jeanette, the creator behind Curam, an esthetic skincare space devoted to slowing down, restoring balance, and working with the skin instead of against it.

I came to the beauty world by way of the culinary world - an interesting pivot, I know. It was right at the start of the pandemic when I decided to close my food business and figure out what came next. I tried lashes first, but when that proved short-lived, I found my way to Permanent Makeup (PMU) brows - another interesting pivot, especially since I was needle-phobic at the time. But I pushed through, and I’m so glad I did, because when my first client cried seeing her new brows, everything shifted. That moment showed me the power of beauty work and sparked my interest in the skin itself and not just its surface, but how it restores, repairs, and reflects what’s happening within us.

I wanted to understand it more deeply, which led me into a year-long esthetician apprenticeship, where I studied skin science, chemistry as it relates to the human body, and performed facial treatments from foundational techniques to advanced applications in electrotherapy. That experience, and the process of becoming a licensed esthetician, shaped the philosophy I now bring into every facial.

My approach in skincare is one of intention, never pushing the skin beyond what supports its natural function. I see it as a homeostatic approach, where balance is the goal. When we stop over-treating and start listening, the skin knows exactly how to heal and renew itself.

Here, skincare isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about:

  • returning to equilibrium.

  • working with your skin’s natural rhythm, not against it.

  • honoring the body’s design and trusting its capacity to restore itself.

My goal is simple: that you leave my treatment room with clarity about your skin, its needs, and confidence in the plan we’ve built to support it.

Because the best skincare routine isn’t complicated. It may begin in my treatment room, but it ultimately ends with you.

This is the foundation of Curam.
Curam comes from Latin, meaning care, tending, concern

Curam, (formerly JW Brow Aesthetics), is the result of this evolution.
